Stop Wasting Resources on Change That Never Sticks.

Most transformation programmes fail because leadership intervenes before they understand. So even when the strategy is right, the culture resists and change reverts.

The Culture Lens reveals what’s really happening in your organisation so leaders and teams can see what’s getting in the way and work together to overcome it.

What is The Culture Lens?

The Culture Lens is a diagnostic framework that helps organisations see where their culture and strategy are misaligned, so leadership and teams can work together to examine why change isn’t working.

The Engagement Crisis

According to research, most workforces are already disengaged and AI is accelerating uncertainty.

77%

of the global workforce is disengaged or actively disengaged

Gallup 2024-2026

10%

of UK employees are engaged, ranking 33rd of 38 European countries

Gallup 2024

40%

of employees now fear AI will eliminate their jobs, up from 28% in 2024

Morgan Stanley 2026

The Pattern

Organisations implement transformation programmes to drive change, but when things slowly revert, the conclusion is often the same. “Our strategy is right, but our culture is wrong.”

The Missing Step

Change methodologies tell you how to build consensus and manage transition, but they assume you already understand the culture you’re trying to change. Most organisations don’t.

What This Helps You Do

See exactly where culture is blocking strategy. Not vague “issues”, but specific gaps you can act on.

Stop guessing what your people need. Triangulate across what’s said, what’s done, and what structures exist.

Understand why engagement is low and what to do about it.

Hold leadership accountable to the same standards. The lens works both ways

Know which intervention will actually work before you commit the time and budget.

Design change that sticks because it’s grounded in evidence, not assumption.

The Culture Lens Framework

Three focal points shape what the lens reveals. Where they converge, capability comes into focus. Your values, expectations, and behaviours are the standards you measure against.

People

Who they are, professionally and personally. Do their values align? Can they bring their whole selves to work?

People + Learning
= Knowledge and Skills

Learning

Is this a learning organisation? Not training budgets and courses, but Peter Michael Senge’s five disciplines in practice.

Learning + Mindset
= Agility and Growth

Mindset

Psychological safety, well-being, trust. The conditions that determine whether people bring their best thinking.

Mindset + People
= Attitude and Aptitude

Three Layers of Evidence

Sentiment analysis tells you what people are feeling, but doesn’t tell you why. The Culture Lens triangulates.

Self-Report

What people say. Surveys, interviews, and personal profiling outline the stated reality.

Observable Behaviour

What actually happens. Meeting dynamics, knowledge-sharing patterns and mistake handling.

Structure

What systems exist to support claims? Tools, resource allocation, policies and governance?

Why triangulation matters: “We value learning” means nothing if learning time is bumped for urgent work and there are no structural systems or protections in place. The gap between layers is where intent and outcome meet.

The Lens Works Both Ways

The strength of The Culture Lens is that it works from both an organisational and an individual perspective

Organisational Perspective

Leadership assesses people, teams, departments against organisational values, expectations, and desired behaviours.

  • Do employees demonstrate our stated values?
  • Do they meet our expectations for contribution?
  • Do they exhibit the behaviours we want to see?

Individual Perspective

Employees assess the organisation against the same criteria. This symmetry creates accountability and builds trust.

  • Does the organisation live its stated values?
  • Does it meet the expectations it creates?
  • Does it support the behaviours it promotes?

What You Get

  • Clarity on what’s actually blocking progress: Not another report full of recommendations you won’t implement. A diagnosis that shows exactly where your culture and your strategy are misaligned.
  • Change that sticks this time: Because you understand why previous efforts reverted. You’re intervening in the right places.
  • The capability to do this yourself: Your team leaves with the skills and tools to run future diagnostics independently.
  • Leadership held to the same standard: The lens works both ways. As you assess your people, they assess you. Building transparency and trust, not resentment.

Is This The Right Fit?

When this works well:
  • Change initiatives have stalled or reverted
  • Engagement surveys highlight issues but not causes
  • Leadership wants to understand before intervening
  • You are willing to be held to the same standards as your people
  • Building internal capability matters more than a report
This isn’t the right fit when:
  • You want validation, not discovery
  • The diagnosis is already known, and you need implementation
  • Leadership isn’t ready for uncomfortable truths
  • You want a one-way assessment of your employees
  • You’re not willing to share the structural data required for triangulation
